Food Allergen Management
How can we help?
Food Protect can support your business to:
Ensure that the allergen information on your food product labels is consistent, accurate and verifiable.
Food production processes comply with the legal regulations regarding food allergens.
“Gluten-free”, “Nut-free”… are you sure you can use these terms confidently?
Prepare for Natasha’s Law
From 1 October 2021, Natasha’s Law will come into effect to protect allergy sufferers and give them confidence in the food they buy. The new legislation will require food businesses to provide full ingredient lists and allergen labelling on foods pre-packaged for direct sale on the company’s premises.
Food Protect can help you prepare for legal changes. We create food allergen management systems that are compliant and tailored to suit your business size and customers.
Food allergen management support for a food manufacturer
A food manufacturer was due to introduce a new product line that contained nuts into an otherwise nut-free production environment. They needed support to ensure that their production line and product complied with food allergen legal requirements.
We advised the client and helped them to implement allergen management procedures, segregation and handling procedures, and labelling for end products.
The company was successful in safely introducing the new product to the market.
“Food Protect has been invaluable in the launch of our busy seafront site. The resources offered are comprehensive.”
