Food hygiene inspection support for a food hall concept
A beachfront food hall concept had been refurbished and reopened in 2021. It was due to have its first Environmental Health Officer inspection since reopening and wanted help to achieve high food hygiene standards and a maximum rating of 5.
We provided pre-inspection support and guidance on best practice by carrying out a mock inspection and helping set up appropriate corrective actions. We then conducted a second mock inspection, and the difference in food hygiene standards was evident to all.
The restaurant team achieved the highest possible rating of 5 on their first food hygiene inspection, with zero non-conformities identified. Along with high standards, there was also a heightened awareness and confidence in the catering teams on site.
